TRICKS/SKILLS
Freestyle canine disc performance consists of choreographed routine set to music. Routine can vary in length from 90 to 150 seconds.
All usual obedience skills (sit, stay,
shake, down, roll-over, etc.)
Vocalizations: speak, cry and sing (sing performed to harmonica). Will
leap onto trainer's back on "hup" command. Will stay on trainer's
back while trainer walks on all fours.
Bufallo Jump: This trick involves Blue leaping up and off trainer's chest and catching a disc. Trainer catches Blue over head and turns around in a circle. Trick is completed when Blue runs down trainer's back.
Sit-stay-head-hold-flipup-tipback: In
this trick Blue is put into a
sit-stay. A disc is placed on Blue's head, which he holds for two or three
seconds. Trainer then flips disc up into air, slaps disc to change direction
of flight, and Blue catches it.
